Too Bad the Whole Audience Didn't Follow Suit

This appears to be the beginning of an appropriate send-off for this sociopathic, hypocritical, back-stabbing, born-again, bible belting, murderous buffoon. The only thing wrong is that the whole audience didn't follow suit.

Lie #1, Lie #2, Lie #3 and so on...

Ed Broadbent eloquently describes the absolute, bald-faced lies coming from Harper and that despicable leach, Stockwell Day without an anti-conservative stance, shows some real class:

Unfit to Govern

The Conservatives have been a monumental failure in regards to Canada'sailing economy and have stood by idly as thousands lose jobs due tototal mismanagement and sheer greed . Some industries all butdisappearand absolutely nothing of substance from the Harper government. Do they even know, or care, that the Canadian Glass Container Industry as just one example, was all but obliterated this past summer with just 2 plants out of 6 hanging on in this country? This group of empty suits are simply unfit to govern and must leave office immediately. The country is in crisis and has been for months, and all this group of utter buffoons could do was hold a $300,000,000 completely unnecessary election campaign while citizens lost jobs left and right, only
to turn around and then insult Canadians by not even recognizing the crisis until it was well beyond control. Shame on them and good riddance. The coalition proposal could not have come at a better time and hopefully, the opposition parties who represent the majority of Canadians can get these blowhards out and start repairing the damage that they've done to this country in such a short time

Olbermann Says It Best

Dear Bigot:
Our love's as good as yours so there. Take a few lessons on respect for your fellow man, something you show absolutely nothing of. Now keep worshippin' those sky daddies and leave the rest of us alone.

Tear It Up

The organ donor card that is. Apparently, my perfectly healthy internal organs would be considered diseased under new Health Canada Policy reported today. This story is disturbing on so many levels. The mere fact that HIV and various strains of hepatitis are found in virtually all demographics, one really has to question the motives behind such a ridiculous policy. I smell that old canard of religious group influence and would really like to know which group is behind this and the process that was used to develop this policy. If religion did play a role in it, we have a huge problem because we are allowing bias and use of stereotyping to label all gay men as potentially diseased, regardless of his health status. I do not buy the lame excuse of abstinence for a 5 year period. This is just absurd and again, absolutely stinks of religious right influence, because we all know, those groups hate gay men, they want us to go away, they want us to shut up, and they want us dead. Some serious inquiry is needed on this issue. It is such blatant discrimination and attempt to label a demographic as diseased. When organ donation is so desperately needed, we have this blatant pandering to bullshit stereotypes. I guess if the hate groups lost the gay marriage fight, they have to stick it to us somehow. I don't believe for a minute that groups like Focus on the Family, Canadian Christian Coalition are not somehow behind this.

A Look Back at a Strange Year

The beginning of a New Year always brings about a reflection of the past 12 months. What a year 2007 was. In Canada, we had the antics of a Prime Minister so out of touch with Canadians, desperately trying to win us over by providing bullshit to the public about his "commitment" to tackling climate change, the never ending snuffing out of young Canadian Soldiers in Afganistan fighting a losing battle against ridiculous religious beliefs, conning us with a cut in the GST and succeeding in staying on message and failing to show Canadians his true colours. In the US, we saw an economy teetering on disaster, a pillaged national treasury, a criminal invasion and never ending war in Iraq, perpetuance of fundamentalist christianity and a presidential campaign built almost entirely on kissing the ass of supposedly religious people. It's a crying shame to watch that once great nation crumble under a phoney, dry drunk, fake christian war criminal. Worldwide, we saw some discussion on climate change, and the inevitable grim consequences. Unfortunately, pea-brained neo-cons continue to do everything in their power to hamper efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions. We also saw news dominated by shenanigans of immature, over rated "celebrities" who thrive and make millions off of society's obsession with people making asses of themselves in public. From Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan to Paris Hilton, there was never a dull moment with rehab visits, custody battles and a public display of utter lack of personal responsibility. If news networks make one resolution for 2008, please do not give these publicity addicts another second of airtime. Then came the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan late in the year, no doubt the handiwork of no, not Al Qaeda, but of Musharaff and his buddies in the Bush Administration. Perhaps one of the more positive developments this year was the number of books on atheism that made the best sellers list: Dawkins God Delusion, Hitchens God is not Great and Harris' Letter to a Christian Nation. Hopefully, that's a positive sign that people are fed up with adhering to ancient superstitions and allowing bible/koran thumpers to riot, kill, cause war and shape public policy from everything from climate change policies, foreign policy, human rights and the disgusting intrusion of religion into politics. My hopes for 2008:

1. No Federal Election in Canada. Our opposition parties need to get their acts together and start taking advantage of the countless opportunities to show Canadians the true colours of our neo-con PM and his band of looney racists and homophobes. Dion and Layton, get off your ass and desecrate these morons, please.

2. That religion gets out of the US Presidential Nomination and Election, like yesterday. It is sickening that most of the campaign is focused on the personal belief system of individual candidates and whose imaginary god is better than the other. Watching phonies like Mitt Romney, Rudy Guilliani trip over their statements is vomit inducing. But not quite as vomit inducing as 6000 year old world believer Mike Huckabee making inroads and could just win this thing. If there is a god, we ask you to keep these morons who exploit you out of the oval office.

3. Real action is required to tackle the global problem of human caused greenhouse gas emissions. Action is so long overdue and the issue needs to be taken out of the hands of neo-con thugs, right now. Environmentalists need to put constant pressure on dimwits in Canadian Parliament, the White House and the governments of China and India. These needs to happen in 2008.

4. The rise of awareness and acceptance of atheism continues. Not everyone believes in the sky wizard, and believers must stop including non-believers in their "visions" of issues like morality and public policy. I firmly believe that the intellect of Dawkins and Hitchens among others, will cause at least some people to question the hideous belief systems they have been brain washed into since childhood.

5. That more liars and hypocrites in politics and the world of religion are exposed for their phoniness and deception. Be it from sex or money, more need to fall. I would like to see James Dobson caught with a cock in his mouth. How delicious that would be to watch that dangerous homophobe fall from his manufactured and well financed pedestal.

6. The awareness level about the world-wide injustice to gay people needs more attention. Our own gay community in Canada needs to get more involved abroad and stop the abuse and killing happening to our brothers and sisters in countries that are strangled by religious homophobes. Nigeria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, are killing gay people by the thousands and stripping them of any human dignity they can muster. This disgrace must stop.

Happy New Year and may 2008 bring a further downfall to religion, its corrupt leadership and incessant brain washing of generations of otherwise bright people. Oh, and Britney, please go away.
